Borussia Dortmund snupper en af de bedste unge spillere i Europa lige for næsen af flere europæiske klubber. Spilleren selv var dog aldrig i tvivl om, hvor han ville fortsætte karrieren.

I torsdags blev det offentliggjort, at Borussia Dortmund har skrevet under med Ousmane Dembélé fra Stade Rennais FC for en endnu ukendt overgangssum.
Flere europæiske klubber har ellers haft et godt øje til den 18-årige franskmand, der nu har skrevet under på en femårig kontrakt med Bundesliga klubben.
Succesrig sæson for det unge talent
I denne sæson har den unge angriber scoret 12 mål og lavet fem assists i 25 kampe i den franske Ligue 1. På baggrund af sine flotte præstationer blev han kåret til bedste unge spiller i Frankrig i denne sæson.

Selv sagde Ousmane Dembélé følgende om skiftet:
“Dortmund have looked at me for a long time and have always been in close contact with me and their conduct has really impressed me.”
“The concept of Borussia totally convinces me. I can’t wait to start playing games in the Signal Iduna Park in front of 80.000 people and to play in the Champions League.”
Ousmane får fine ord med på vejen
Dortmunds sportsdirektør, Michael Zorc, sagde følgende om Ousmane Dembélé:
“Ousmane can play almost in any position up front. He is strong one-on-one, can play with both feet, has a lot of skill and is quick and has an eye for goal.”
Dortmunds administrerende direktør Hans-Joachim Watzke tilføjede følgende:
“Respect to him for the stand he has taken considering all the offers from the best clubs in Europe and has done so for a long time. That is not to take for granted and is a sign of his character.”
“Ousmane has always given the impression that he doesn’t want anything else apart from playing for this special club with our intensive football and our incredible stadium.”
